
Child Abuse Policy
Purpose :
The Shri Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devsthan Trust (“the Trust”) is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and secure environment for devotees, visitors, and especially children who may use our mobile application or services. This policy outlines our zero-tolerance approach towards any form of child abuse, exploitation, or harmful content.
Definition :
For the purpose of this policy, child abuse includes but is not limited to:
- Physical abuse
- Emotional abuse
- Sexual abuse or exploitation (including online exploitation)
- Neglect or exposure to harmful or inappropriate content
This policy follows the definitions under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) and other applicable Indian laws.
Commitment :
- The Trust strictly prohibits hosting, sharing, or promoting any content that depicts, encourages, or glorifies child abuse or exploitation.
- No data collected through our application will be used in a manner that harms children or compromises their safety.
- Our platform is intended for devotional, cultural, and informational purposes and is not designed to target children for commercial exploitation.
Reporting and Action :
- Any instance of suspected child abuse or exploitation identified on our mobile application or website must be reported immediately to the Trust at: ambajitempletrust@gmail.com
- Users can also report concerns to the national cybercrime reporting portal: https://cybercrime.gov.in
- The Trust will promptly investigate all complaints and take strict action, which may include removing content, disabling accounts, and reporting to law enforcement authorities as mandated by law.
Data Protection and Privacy :
- Personal information of children will not be knowingly collected without appropriate parental consent.
- Any data related to minors, if collected for specific religious services (such as prasad orders, donations, or participation in events), will be securely handled in accordance with the Trust’s Privacy Policy.
Awareness and Responsibility :
- All staff, volunteers, and associated service providers of the Trust are expected to comply with this policy.
- The Trust encourages users to remain vigilant and contribute to maintaining a safe digital environment.
Legal Compliance :
This policy is aligned with:
- Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012
- Information Technology Act, 2000 (Section 67B prohibits publishing or transmitting material depicting children in sexually explicit acts)
- Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015
