Gabbar Mountain
Sacred Hill of Ambaji
Gabbar, meaning mountain in Gujarati, is a revered pilgrimage site located 1.5 km above ground level, famous for its 999 steps. Every year, over 3 million devotees visit to witness the eternal flame and the divine energy of Maa Amba. Ropeway services, launched in 1998, make the climb easier, offering breathtaking views of Ambaji town and the Aravalli forests.
Spiritual Significance
Gabbar is considered one of the 51 Shaktipeeths, believed to be the birthplace of the holy River Saraswati in the Arasur hills. It is home to sacred sites such as Mataji ka Zula and Kal Bhairav Temple, making it a focal point of devotion and parikrama.
